Baggage Allowance Policy

Baggage is included on every Qantas Airlines fare. Passenger’s included checked baggage allowances are determined according to their itinerary and are displayed when passengers make their booking through Qantas Airlines Reservations.

Carry-on Baggage

Domestic Flight in Australia- The weight allowance of baggage is 7kg for all classes.

International Flight – The maximum weight limit is 7 kg per item, however, items may comprise of the following, dependent on Qantas Airlines Tickets classes:

For First Class, Business Class, and Premium Economy Classes

Passengers can carry 2 x 11cm (45 in) bags or 1 x 11cm (45 in) bag along with 1 x 185cm(73 in) non rigid garment bag

For Economy Class

Passengers can carry 1 x 115cm (45 in) bag or 1 x 185cm (73 in) non rigid garment bag

Checked Baggage

Airlines have different policies for the scheduled flight to and from North and South America.

International flights (excluding North and South America)

First Class- Maximum weight allowance - 50kg

Business -Maximum weight allowance - 40 kg

Premium Economy - Maximum weight allowance - 40 kg

Economy -Maximum weight allowance- 30kg

International flights to North and South America

Business and First Class- 3x maximum weight up to 32kg

Economy and Premium Economy- 2 x maximum weight up to 23kg each
